Euro grant to ‘national foundations’: 240,000 euros in support

EU funds have provided a lifeline to foundations close to the regime, whose funding from municipalities was cut following changes in local government in March 2019. Under a decision dated 2 September, grant applications totalling 240,000 euros from Turkish National Foundation for Youth (TÜGVA), Turkish Foundation for Education and Development (TÜRGEV), the Society for the Dissemination of Knowledge (İlim Yayma Cemiyeti) and the Ankara Imam Hatip Alumni Association (ÖNDER) were approved.
