Economic revolt within the AKP-MHP base

Despite the rosy pictures painted by TÜİK (Turkish Statistical Institute) with doctored data, the profound poverty that cannot be concealed has also been reflected in research. The proportion of AKP voters saying they are "partly struggling" or "struggling" to meet their basic needs has reached 60%, while this figure stands at 56% for MHP voters.
